As part of CM’s 2019 IT migration, set up of CM e-mail is now part of the comprehensive and integrated installation process for Microsoft Office365 for Business on your computer and mobile device. You can view/download the instructions for Microsoft Office365 for Business installation on the CM Roadmap for Installing IT Systems available HERE.

  • Email Address and Password

You should have already received your CM email address and password, which are used during your Microsoft Office365 for Business installation. If you have not, please notify Admin. Once you are set up with your Microsoft Office365 for Business profile, you can change your password using My Account (look for your name in the top right corner of the web-based Microsoft Office365 for Business interface or on the CM Grid homepage).

  • Email Signature Blocks

We use Exclaimer as our signature block vendor to ensure professional consistency and uniformity. As a default, every email sent from a CM email account has a master signature block (with your personalized name, number, email, bio link) added to it AFTER sending, regardless of whether you send the message from your local Outlook, webmail Outlook, or a mobile device. You will not see the signature block in the email before it sends, but it gets auto-added before it arrives to the recipient (and you can look in your sent box after a couple minutes to see what it looks like on the recipient’s end). If you’re OK with this default system, all you need to do is ensure that you don’t have another signature on any of your devices (including the pesky advertisement signatures added by Apple and Android phones). Otherwise, the recipient will see two signature blocks on your message.

Want more control over your CM signature block? For those who would like more local control and options for signature blocks or for users who want to see the selected signature block in the message BEFORE it is sent, there’s a simple Exclaimer add-in agent for your desktop Outlook that allows users to select from a variety of different CM signature templates (e.g., long form, short form, NAMWOLF/WBE).  It takes about 2 minutes to have it up and running—very easy! Just follow the below link, where you will be prompted to enter your username and password when you run the agent for the first time. From then on, the add-in will run silently in the background. Whenever you change your password at a later date, you may be asked to re-enter your details. Keep in mind that If we need to make any changes to the CM signature templates from our centralized Exclaimer portal, the updates are automatically pushed out to everyone once every hour or so. It’s also important to know that the local Exclaimer agent is only available (for now) on your local desktop Outlook, which means emails sent via webmail or mobile devices will still have the main CM signature auto-appended upon sending.
