IP Portfolio Management and Counseling

Culhane Meadows handles all aspects of IP portfolio management, helping to evaluate and execute a plan for patents, trademarks, and other IP assets, in order to generate business value from the portfolio. We recognize that no two clients’ IP needs are exactly the same; our attorneys partner closely with our clients to create a customized, cost-effective strategy for IP evaluation, protection, and enforcement.

Our experienced team of Intellectual Property attorneys are equipped to navigate our clients through the often complex process, rules, and regulations surrounding preservation and enforcement of intellectual property rights. We can help you develop a custom-tailored protection and enforcement strategy to protect your unique patented products or brand names, including but not limited to filings with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Culhane Meadows is equipped to aggressively, yet efficiently, represent major manufacturers, retailers, franchisors, entertainment media and not-for-profit entities with respect to all aspects of their trademarks, copyrights, domain names, trade secrets, trade dress, licensing/distribution agreements and advertising. We know your intellectual property, products and brand are your most valued assets and we are here to help you protect them.

We enforce our clients’ intellectual property rights through a variety of means, ranging from the development of a comprehensive and strategic registration process and post-issuance enforcement policy, including litigation, if necessary.  Our attorneys have litigated trademark, service mark, trade dress, false advertising, unfair competition, gray market, antitrust and related issues throughout the country. Culhane Meadows’ attorneys have also had significant success enforcing clients’ rights through negotiation and diplomacy. Where litigation is necessary, however, our attorneys litigate to win—in state courts, U.S. District Courts, at the ITC, the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, through Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) proceedings, and through mediation and arbitration.

We represent the intellectual property interests of clients from around the country and in diverse industries, including transportation, franchisors, building and construction, software, retailers, manufacturers, and financial institutions. We regularly advise and represent clients in regard to patents, trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, false advertising, grey market goods, and trade secrets. We also handle or assist attorneys in other practice groups with various related matters regarding franchise law, technology licensing and related transactions, e-commerce, privacy & data security, outsourcing, and social media.
