Employment Practices

Culhane Meadows’ labor and employment team provides practical advice to employers in the day-to-day administration of their human resources and talent management operations.  Our partners are experienced in dealing with issues that arise in areas such as leave administration, performance management and employee benefits and compensation.  We provide counseling in all aspects of the employment relationship, including compliance with anti-discrimination and anti-harassment laws, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, ERISA, employee benefits laws, and US and European workforce data privacy/protection laws and regulations.

Our partners are practiced in state and local anti-discrimination and equal rights laws, as well other federal, state and local laws and regulations affecting the employment relationship. We prepare employee handbooks and related policies, as well as employment, confidentiality and restrictive covenant agreements.  We assist clients in the design, implementation and administration of their employee benefits plans and related program documents.

We guide clients in each phase of the employment process – from the application and selection process through employee performance, discipline and separations.  Our employment practices team also acts as an extension of our Corporate practice group and provides support on due diligence, integration planning, and harmonizing employment practices in connection with domestic and international mergers, acquisitions and divestures.  By further combining our experience in immigration matters, we offer a global employment and mobility capability – either stand alone or as part of our corporate transactional practice.

Across all these areas, our partners combine their familiarity practicing in house with their decades of experience to assist you in developing and administering employment policies and practices that are optimized for your business and your company’s culture.
