Jim Meadows interviewed by NJBIZ on growing Culhane Meadows’ roster in NY/NJ/PA

Jim Meadows, co-founder and managing partner of Culhane Meadows, was recently interviewed by NJBIZ for an article on how the firm continues to grow its presence in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.

Here are some excerpts from Jim’s interview:

Working from home is business as usual for cloud-based law firm Culhane Meadows PLLC, which is looking to grow in the Garden State.

Its New Jersey office is officially in Princeton, but its six local partners – and 66 other partners nationwide – work mostly from home through Regus Virtual Office, through which they also have administrative and mail support.

Partners can use 116 Village Blvd., Suite 200 in Princeton whenever necessary as a day office or conference room.

Now, Meadows is looking to grow the firm’s Northeastern reach by adding more attorneys to its partner-only model. All Culhane Meadows partners have practiced for eight or more years and have Big Law experience.

“A lot of lawyers have realized, one, now that they’re working from home, they don’t need the office as much as they thought they did; and two, they’re picking up cues either directly or indirectly on whether or not their firms are looking to invest in their practice areas in the long term,” Meadows said. “In New Jersey, and this is the Northeast generally, we’re looking for people with solid litigation experience and practices, and commercial real estate is an area where we’re seeing an increase in interest as well as, unfortunately, bankruptcy,” Meadows said.

Culhane Meadows is open to anyone who has a solid practice, Meadows said.
