Trial Court Litigation (State and Federal)

Culhane Meadows’ experienced litigators regularly appear in state and federal trial courts. We offer our clients a wealth of experience in the law and in the courts in which we practice, as well as a passion to use our experience to help solve client problems. The breadth of our practice covers the full range of litigation issues that businesses encounter. Most commonly, this includes: contract claims, business torts, employment law issues, franchise disputes, and intellectual property controversies.

While we have the experience and skill to fight our clients’ battles before judges, juries, arbitrators and administrative law judges, we view litigation within the larger framework of our clients’ business and/or personal objectives. Not every dispute requires the commitment of executive time or the expense and disruption of otherwise profitable commercial relationships that frequently ensue when formal litigation is pursued. For that reason, we have employed a variety of alternative dispute resolution techniques to seek resolution at the earliest possible opportunity.

A growing part of our practice involves work to minimize our clients’ risks and exposure of doing business in today’s litigious world. While we are prepared to aggressively litigate to protect our clients’ interests, avoidance of litigation remains one of our primary goals. Our attorneys work with our clients to define, assess and minimize litigation risks and to develop programs to help them comply with specific contractual requirements and with the laws and regulations that affect their business.

Our trial litigation team has experience with a wide range of litigation issues and processes, including:

•Alternative Dispute Resolution (arbitration and mediation)
•Breach of Contract / Unjust Enrichment
•Business Torts (i.e., tortious interference / negligent misrepresentation)
•Multi-Party Litigation
•Construction Claims
•Education / School
•Estate and Trust Litigation
•Fiduciary Litigation
•Franchise Litigation
•Insurance Coverage Litigation / Bad Faith
•Medicare Appeals
•Patent and Trademark Litigation
•Restrictive Covenants
