Culhane Meadows Partners Featured at Annual Technology and Cloud Transactions Conference

2015-04-28-Tyde Haughian Tech Cloud ConfOur Atlanta partners Michelle Tyde and Heather Haughian were featured as presenters at Law Seminars International’s 2nd Annual Two-Day Conference on Successful Technology and Cloud Transactions from April 27-28, 2015. Additionally, Michelle Tyde served as one of the program co-chairs and helped develop the list of timely topics that were addressed at the conference. Here is a description of the program contents:

In a relatively short time, modern-day communications and information technologies have morphed from relatively stable, well understood industries into an amorphous mix of mobile access, software, and computer functionality – all hidden in unknown locations aptly depicted as a “cloud”. Legal priorities have also shifted as privacy, security, and data protection issues are at the top of every general counsel’s list of things to worry about. Managing these risks – whether through technology contracts, company policies, insurance, or other measures – is the 21st century lawyer’s challenge.

With all this in mind, Law Seminars International is pleased to present its second annual risk management and contracting in the new communications and information technology era conference. Privacy, security, and data protection are some of the key elements. The discussions will present cross-industry deal points and practice pointers from leading attorneys, executives, consultants, investors and other professionals involved in modern day technology contracts. The event will conclude with a popular workshop on advanced drafting and negotiation tips for managing risk in such transactions. And hot off the press! There will be an update on the recently published FCC Open Internet (“Net Neutrality”) order – and what it means for data and cloud transactions. You won’t want to miss this important event!
