Chicago Partners Support NAMIWalks to Raise Awareness for Mental Illness

We are proud to recognize our partner Terese Connolly for organizing a meaningful service project for our Chicago partners on Saturday, Sept 16th. Terri put together a group of volunteers to support NAMI Chicago’s NAMIWalks event on the picturesque lakefront of Chicago.

The walk drew over 1,157 participants and raised $171,316. NAMI is the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Founded in 1979, NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. One of its primary goals is to eliminate the stigma of mental illness through increased education and awareness.

Way to go Terri and the other Culhane Meadows volunteers who supported this important event!
