We can help clients manage their liability when acting on behalf of its customers’ benefit plans – whether it is acting as a fiduciary (such as the trustee for 401(k) plan or other retirement plans) or as a third-party administrator (handling the allocation of contributions and investment earnings among participant accounts).  We have considerable experience performing nondiscrimination testing for all benefit plans.

We can also help a financial institution keep its own retirement products up-to-date – that is, the products it sells its customers.  This would include IRAs of various types, health savings accounts (HSAs), and retirement plans, especially the prototype documents used by the financial institution.

We assist bank, savings and loan associations, and other financial institutions in the acquisition and disposition of lines of business. Our focus includes securities, mortgage brokerage, trust businesses, investment advisory, insurance and real estate. In addition to understanding the nature of those businesses and providing strategic guidance, these businesses involve an understanding of both state and federal statutes and regulations. We have prepared the necessary applications and assist with any regulatory compliance questions that may arise.
