With more than 25 years’ experience both as in-house General Counsel and as a partner in national law firms, Lisa Rovinsky excels at creating strategic legal and business solutions that meet her clients’ objectives.
Lisa brings deep expertise in transactional law related to commercial contracts, licensing, software, hardware, supply chain and procurement, privacy, IP, marketing, and sponsorships. Her client roster ranges from startup to Fortune 500 technology, telecommunications, healthcare, entertainment, education, and consumer products brands.
For the past 15 years, Lisa has been closely aligned with technology firms, including established and emerging health-tech, telecommunications, and gaming companies. Lisa managed all contract negotiations for inaugural software licenses and commercial contracts to support the launch of proprietary mobile applications for two technology start-ups and created the legal infrastructure, including governance protocols for protection of patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, and privacy and data protection policies. As a senior member of the legal team for $26B telecommunications, information technology, and consumer electronics leader Nokia, Lisa negotiated one of the largest and most complex telecom deals in Nokia Siemens North America’s history.
Previously, Lisa focused on marketing and advertising law and held executive counsel roles at industry-leading brands The Coca Cola Company and Mastercard, where she negotiated terms for thousands of licensing, technology, sponsorship, and marketing agreements with major sports franchises, entertainment companies, and celebrities/athletes.
Interesting Facts
From June 2019 until June 2022, Lisa served as Vice President of Advocacy for the National Council of Jewish Woman (NCJW) and has served on its Board since 2018. Lisa led advocacy initiatives for this non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for women, children, and families.
Lisa currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband/soulmate, Michael, with whom she enjoys taking long walks, binge-watching movies and TV shows, attending theater, and making or seeking out delicious food. They have one son, Andrew, a college student who shares their love of movies, and food, but not so much the long walks.
The highlight of her professional career to date has been meeting and hanging with the great Mohammed Ali, and she has a photo with him to prove it, which her husband and son often post and “brag” about on social media.
