Interesting Facts
Barry is a native Atlantan and avid Braves fan. In fact, he was in the stands at Atlanta Fulton County Stadium (fifth row behind the Dodgers’ dugout) on 8 April 1974 to see Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run, surpassing Babe Ruth as the REAL all-time home run king. (No comment on that Barry Bonds fellow.) He even remembers that Al Downing was the pitcher who served it up to “The Hammer.” His blood runs Carolina Blue, particularly during basketball season. Barry and his wife married each other later in life, but it was worth the wait – 15+ years and counting! They love to travel, and to date their favorite trip was a Mediterranean cruise with his side of the family to celebrate his parents’ 50th wedding anniversary.
