Above the Law: Culhane Meadows bucking the COVID-19 trend and expanding during a pandemic

Two of our co-founders, Kelly Rittenberry Culhane and Jim Meadows, recently spoke with Above the Law’s Kathryn Rubino for her Jabot podcast, which focuses on the challenges women, people of color, LGBTQ, and other diverse populations face in the legal industry.

The wide-ranging conversation covers how Culhane Meadows was formed and how the firm has effectively closed the gender pay gap. They also discuss the importance of diversity, what other firms can do to make sure they are as diverse as possible, leaving Biglaw to start a firm, and what’s like to be responsible for keeping the lights on during a global pandemic. Culhane Meadows is already the largest woman-owned, national law firm in the country, and rather than sit on that achievement, they discuss how the firm is actually continuing to grow it’s attorney roster while other firms struggle with cash flow and layoffs.
