Work from home office! Set my own billing rates. I get to serve great high-level and name-brand clients just like I did at my big international law firm. My colleagues work together regularly and form client teams just like at my old firm. I get better work-life balance than I’ve ever during my professional life. This firm offers the best of both worlds between a traditional law firm and a solo practice. I get the benefit of working and collaborating with incredibly accomplished and intelligent partners, yet I get to maintain a wonderful amount of flexibility and autonomy. Not having inexperienced associates at the firm is a major plus because it means the partners already know what they are doing and they can serve my clients very well. Even though we do not maintain traditional offices, the firm does a great job of encouraging collaboration and interaction among partners through regular face to face meetings, annual retreat, and other social get togethers.
